Description
A piece of history in 7.0 shape for an instrument of it's age. An all original Hagstrom 1 Bass from 1966 (based on the serial #651165).

An excellent player or a respectable collector as these will never be again. Red plastic body cover complete with 'swimming pool' in excellent condition and red vinyl on back in good condition with one small area where the vinyl is starting to separate. The famous Hagstrom 'fastest' straight and true neck in black with finish worn at low 'G' and some other small paint blemishes consistant with a bass of this age. Electronics, truss rod completely operational, it's sound ranges from a full warm Precision tone to a bright funky tone hinting of Stanley Clarke's piccolo bass.

Completely set up with no fret buzz. Medium scale with ridiculously low action thanks to RotoSound 66 roundwounds .90-.35s.

I no longer own this bass, it was sold to a gentleman in NYC.
