Description
Actually, the only thing 'Custom Shop' about this bass is the pearloid pickguard. I acquired it in April 2003 on Ebay for $400. Read on, and you'll see what a deal this bass was.

The neck is a 'Fender Replacement' which is why it only has the 'Fender' decal. It's manufactured to 1962 Jazz Bass specifications, including the thinner frets, slab rosewood fretboard and vintage finish. It has the reverse style tuners. The body is a finished Warmoth, the type which has no routing except for the control and pickup cavities. It came with EMG's, but I replaced them with a set of Dimarzios DP123 "Model J". The bridge is a Gotoh G201C (replaced the Badass II in the photo). The strings are Thomastik Infeld JR-344 Jazz Bass roundwounds. It was delivered in a vintage 1971 Jazz Bass case in excellent condition!

...and, it's a fantastic player.
